Year 10 Medical Mavericks!!

Recently  a number of our Year 10 students, who are interested in a Career in medicine, visited South Devon College to attend a Medical Mavericks event.

The students were able to take blood from a fake arm, record their own ECG, try key hole surgery, see inside their body with an ultrasound machine, take a picture of the inside of their eye and much more as you can see from the photo!

Each student were able to take home their own medical observation sheet which they filled in during the workshop as well as a print out of their ECG.

The presenters outlined dozens of different career paths available to them in the future.
