Torbay Apprenticeship Fair - 10th July 2019
Year 11 leavers and their parents are warmly invited to attend the first Torbay Apprenticeships Fair on Wednesday 10th July, from 2.00pm until 7.00pm at the Riviera International Conference Centre. The free event being is delivered in partnership for Torbay by TDA, with Devon & Cornwall Training Provider Network, Heart of the South West LEP Careers Hub, South Devon College, Torbay Business Network and Serco.
An Apprenticeship is a valuable route into employment, providing a real paid job with sustainable training. Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages from 16+ to ‘earn while they learn’, gaining valuable and transferrable skills for a successful future.
The Torbay Apprenticeships Fair will have over 20 employers present, across all sectors, with an estimated 100 live Apprenticeship vacancies on offer. Students will be able to match their skills and interests with local businesses to start their careers! Businesses will include those from STEM sectors, as well as construction, manufacturing and tourism, all of strategic importance to Torbay.
Additional support for learners will be available on the day including CV and interview preparation, careers advice and coaching. There will be the space for employers to host informal interviews to fill their vacancies and a parent’s area providing information and refreshments.
