Marine Engineering

On the 4th May a delightful group of Year 10 girls attended an inspiring Marine Engineering Taster Day at Noss Marine, Dartmouth.  Although the sun was shining brightly there was little time to enjoy it!
Students were invited to a Health & Safety and Future Planning briefing (as the Noss is a working dock).  The girls were then given the chance to get hands-on experience with workshops covering the rebuilding of a boat’s gear box, and welding sheets of metal.  A spot of lunch was followed by a cruise and yachting experience. The day was well received by all!
